How’d you like to pay just over a thousand bucks a month for a place on the Upper East Side—for your car? Yep, the four-figure parking spot has arrived, as of last week, at the garage inside The Empire at East 78th Street and Third Avenue. With the parking tax, that comes out to $14,400 per year, enough to buy another new car, or 161 unlimited monthly MetroCards. Note the decorative Christmas stocking, as if this flimsy display of holiday cheer could soften the blow. Seen a pricier parking spot out there?
