Colors For Your New York Rental Apartment – An Infographic from Macy’s

Tired of the plain old “landlord white”? Try adding color to your NY apartment rental. Macy’s has an infographic to help you select the colors for your New York rental apartment. Personally, I think their suggestions are a bit simplistic, but if you have no experience working with colors, their infographic will give you a solid start on how to think about color and use it to good effect.

Remember, you don’t have to paint every wall and ceiling. Use color on accent walls – generally only one or two walls in a room. It’s usually a good idea to keep your baseboard white. If you have moulding along the edges of your walls and ceilings, keep them white, too, especially if you decide to paint the ceiling one of the accent colors.
